Whether it’s a disgruntled employee or customer, a domestic issue that follows an employee to work, or an unknown individual intent on causing harm, workplaces are at a distinct risk for violent incidents.
Healthcare workers are five times more likely to experience injury from workplace violence than employees in other fields, and the lack of outrage over the death of the United Healthcare CEO has alarmed many workers. And “heinous” threats against Federal employees hit such alarming levels in the last few years that it led to the formation of a Justice Department task force. In reality, all workplaces face a heightened risk for violence.
How do you prepare yourself to protect the lives of those around you? Are there risk factors that might give you an indication of when someone will become violent? What can you do to help prevent a violent tragedy from occurring where you work? This class will answer all those questions and more.
