SUMMARY:Taking Performance and Misconduct-based Actions: Implementing Executive Order 13839 Policies in 2025 - March 5\, 2025
DESCRIPTION:President Trump recently reinstated the policies outlined in his 2018 Executive Order 13839: Promoting Accountability and Streamlining Removal Procedures Consistent With Merit System Principles — and you are now on the clock. Agencies have until March 7 (yes\, March 7\, 2025) to report to OPM all policies that have been enacted\, modified\, or repealed in order to comply with those identified in the EO. \nSo what exactly does this mean? From instilling time limits on performance demonstration periods to understanding the administration’s stance on the Douglas factors\, from banishing clean record agreements to setting firm timelines for deciding officials\, there’s a lot to unpack. \nWhat changes need to be made to your agency’s procedures? This 60-minute training will answer this question and more\, and will explain the actions you will need to take to comply. Plus\, we’ll cover OPM’s corresponding guidance to ensure you don’t miss a step. \nLearning objectives \n\nRecognize the tangible changes called for in performance and misconduct-based actions.\nUnderstand what policy adjustments are required to comply with the priorities identified in the Executive Order.\nIdentify the flexibilities agencies still have to hold employees accountable.\n\nTraining time\n1:00 pm – 2:00 pm ET \nPricing\nStandard (register February 25 – March 5\, 2025): $250.00 \nEvent FAQs\nCan I attend this class using my government computer?\nThis event will be held on Zoom. Many government computers and systems allow Zoom access. If\, for some reason\, your firewall will not allow access\, you are welcome to use your personal email address to register and to attend the sessions from your personal device. Dial-in telephone access is also available. \nCan I earn CLE credits for this class?\nCLE applications are the responsibility of each attendee; FELTG does not apply for the credits on behalf of attendees. If you seek CLE credit\, you may use the materials provided by FELTG in submission to your state bar. You may also request a certificate of completion containing the number of training hours attended. \nCan I share my access link with co-workers?\nNo. Registration for this event is per individual\, and access links may not be shared. Each link may only be used by one person. \nCan I register as a teleworker?\nThis event is individual registration\, so the cost is the same whether the person is teleworking or attending from an agency facility. \nHow do I receive a group discount?\nGroup discounts are available for agencies registering 10 or more individuals for the full event by the early bird registration deadline. The group discount must be requested in writing with registration submission via email or fax. \nWhat are the Substitute\, Cancellation\, and No-show Policies for Registered Participants?\nSubstitutions may be made at no cost with advance notice to FELTG. We kindly request 24-hour advance notice. No substitutions will be permitted within one hour of the training start time. No cancellations are accepted within 30 days of the training start date. No cancellations are accepted on pre-paid registrations. There are no refunds for no-shows. \nIs this Training Compliant with the 2025 Executive Orders? \nAll FELTG classes are in compliance with the Trump administration’s Executive Orders.
