DESCRIPTION:When EEO challenges arise\, they rarely show up as run-of-the-mill simple scenarios you’ve worked through in a training class. Are you an EEO professional\, attorney or advisor eager to learn how to more effectively manage the unexpected EEO issues?  This in-depth\, highly interactive training will give you the necessary tools and practical guidance to manage those challenging situations. \nTuesday\, July 15: Advanced Reasonable Accommodation Issues\nThe accommodation process is a fluid one. In this session\, we’ll look at the whole of that process – from knowing when someone is making a reasonable accommodation request to taking action if accommodations are ineffective. With interactive scenarios\, you’ll work through challenging accommodation situations. \nLearning objectives \n\nCheck in with employees after granting an accommodation.\nRecognize reasonable accommodation requests.\nDifferentiate between religious and disability accommodation processes.\n\nWednesday\, July 16: Advanced Hostile Work Environment\, Sex Discrimination\, and Reprisal Issues\nSadly\, the topics covered in the session are very much alive in the Federal workplace. Participants will learn about sex discrimination updates post-Bostock\, recognize conduct that could lead to harassment claims\, per se retaliation\, and much more. \nLearning objectives \n\nIdentify the agency and supervisor’s responsibilities when harassment occurs.\nRecognize indicators that conduct has become unwelcome.\nExplain what to do when you see per se reprisal.\n\nThursday\, July 17: Advanced Settlement and Summary Judgment\nSettlement is often the most efficient and effective way to handle a dispute and allow you to get back to focusing on your agency’s mission. This session will tackle the finite details that make up a successful settlement\, such as drafting plain language agreements. The class will also tackle preparing and organizing for summary judgment\, motion procedures and standards\, writing the motion\, editing the motion\, and much more. \nLearning objectives \n\nRecognize when to consider settlement.\nIdentify limits on settlement terms.\nWrite a motion for summary judgment.\n\nTraining time\n12:30 pm – 4:30 pm ET each day \nPricing\nEarly bird (register by June 16\, 2025) \n\n3 days = $1\,230\n2 days = $825\n1 day = $525\n\nStandard (register through June 17 – July 17\, 2025) \n\n3 days = $1\,330\n2 days = $955\n1 day = $625\n\nEvent FAQs\nCan I attend this class using my government computer?\nThis event will be held on Zoom. Dial-in telephone access is also available. \nCan I earn EEO Refresher credits for this class?\nThese materials fulfill the requirements for EEOC’s mandatory 8-hour refresher training. Refresher credits will be verified by request for any student who attends this training; 3.5 refresher hours per day. \nCan I earn CLE credits for this class?\nCLE applications are the responsibility of each attendee; FELTG does not apply for the credits on behalf of attendees. If you are seeking CLE credit\, you may use the materials provided by FELTG in submission to your state bar. You may also request a certificate of completion which will contain the number of training hours attended. \nCan I share my access link with co-workers?\nNo. Registration for this event is per individual\, and access links may not be shared.
