SUMMARY:What Supervisors and Advisors Should Know About Workplace Accommodations in 2025 - July 29\, 2025
DESCRIPTION:This year\, it is more important than ever for supervisors\, reasonable accommodation coordinators\, EEO specialists\, LR/ER specialists\, HR staff\, attorneys\, and union reps to understand the process for determining when an employee is legally entitled to a reasonable accommodation\, whether the request is related to an individual’s disability\, pregnancy-related medical condition\, or religious beliefs. \nWhile return to in-person work orders can require individuals to work onsite\, legal exceptions may exist for reasonable accommodations. Plus\, work schedules\, equipment\, and facilities may require adjustments because of an employee’s medical condition. On top of that\, employers must be careful to protect confidential medical information even as they report on in-person vs. remote attendance. \nThis class is a must-attend for anyone new to reasonable accommodation\, while also applicable to seasoned practitioners who need to know the very latest laws\, cases\, and developments. We’ll cover updates include Supreme Court decisions that apply to accommodations\, whether it’s the Rehabilitation Act\, the Americans With Disabilities Act and Amendments Act\, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act\, or the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act. Plus\, for Federal agency attendees\, we will include the very latest relevant details from Executive Orders and OPM guidance. \nLearning objectives\n\nRecognize the various forms of reasonable accommodation requests.\nDifferentiate among the requirements of disability\, pregnancy\, and religious accommodations.\nDefine the legally required processes and procedures when an employee or applicant requests accommodation.\n\nTraining time\n1:00 pm – 2:30 pm ET \nPricing\nEarly bird (register by June 27\, 2025): $295.00 \nStandard (register June 28 – July 29\, 2025): $350.00 \nEvent FAQs\nCan I attend this class using a government computer?\nThis event will be held on Zoom.
