SUMMARY:5 Things to Know About Reasonable Accommodation for 2025 - December 5\, 2024
DESCRIPTION:Wouldn’t it be great if your first reaction to a reasonable accommodation request didn’t involve increased heartbeat\, immediate beads of sweat\, or fear? It doesn’t have to be that way. You can be the supervisor (or advisor) who sees the benefit of the interactive process and confidently navigates it to find a solution that works for the employee and the agency. \nThis webinar is based around five important principles of reasonable accommodation that are relevant and timely for the upcoming year. Understanding and applying what you learn over these 60 minutes will help you avoid the most devastating reasonable accommodation mistakes\, whether it’s making an unnecessary and abrupt change to an employee’s existing accommodation\, clinging to undue hardship to deny a request\, or some other misstep. \nLearning objectives\n\nRecognize the various forms of reasonable accommodation requests.\nDiscuss when telework is – and is not – an effective accommodation.\nIdentify the most common reasonable accommodation mistakes and how to avoid them.\n\nTraining time\n1:00 pm – 2:00 pm ET \nPricing\nEarly bird (register by November 5\, 2024): $195.00 \nStandard (register November 6 – December 5\, 2024): $250.00 \nEvent FAQs\nCan I attend this class using my government computer?\nThis event will be held on Zoom. Many government computers and systems allow Zoom access. If\, for some reason\, your firewall will not allow access\, you are welcome to use your personal email address to register and to attend the sessions from your personal device. Dial-in telephone access is also available. \nCan I earn CLE credits for this class?\nCLE applications are the responsibility of each attendee; FELTG does not apply for the credits on behalf of attendees. If you are seeking CLE credit\, you may use the materials provided by FELTG in submission to your state bar. You may also request a certificate of completion which will contain the number of training hours attended. \nCan I share my access link with co-workers?\nNo. Registration for this event is per individual\, and access links may not be shared. Each link may only be used by one person. \nCan I register a teleworker?\nThis event is individual registration\, so the cost is the same whether the person is teleworking or attending from an agency facility. \nHow do I receive a group discount?\nGroup discounts are available for agencies registering 10 or more individuals for the full event by the early bird registration deadline. The group discount must be requested in writing with registration submission via email or fax. \nWhat are the Substitute\, Cancellation\, and No-show Policies for Registered Participants?\nSubstitutions may be made at no cost with advance notice to FELTG.
