FELTG Courses and OPM’s Executive Core Qualifications

The Office of Personnel Management has identified five executive core qualifications (ECQs) that are required for entry into the Senior Executive Service (SES), and are taking into account in the selection of individuals for leadership positions. These ECQs define the competencies — the personal and professional attributes — needed to build a federal corporate culture that drives for results, serves customers, and builds successful teams and coalitions within and outside the organization. The Federal Employment Law Training Group provides training that addresses many of the competencies that are critical to successful performance.
