Thank You, Feds, for Your Dedicated Work

We’re only halfway through October, and it’s already been a tough month in America. Millions of people have suffered loss from damaging hurricanes, and there have been death threats (yes, DEATH THREATS) against a number of the Federal disaster relief workers who are putting themselves in harm’s way to help the victims. Plus, we’re just 20 days away from a highly contentious election, which has many people on edge.

The people on the fringes make the most noise and get the most media coverage, but we at FELTG know and respect the hardworking people who comprise this great country, especially those government workers who continue to do their jobs every single day, despite the external commotion. We are proud to work with you and can’t thank you enough for your service.

In this month’s newsletter, we look at

  • A horrific case involving a GS-14 employee who sexually abused a child by licking the child’s feet and toes,
  • Who is responsible to complete the Douglas factors analysis in a discipline case,
  • A harassment claim over a once-consensual sexual relationship, and
  • The intersection between workers compensation and reasonable accommodation.

Take care,

Deborah J. Hopkins, FELTG President
